A cleanser is the  first step in any skincare routine, serving multiple purposes to keep your skin healthy and radiant. It effectively removes makeup, debris, and excess oil, ensuring your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared for subsequent skincare products.
However, choosing the right cleanser is important, as it must be tailored to your skin's needs and sensitivity. Using a cleanser that respects your skin's natural equilibrium can prevent irritation and maintain its overall health. Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin, selecting a cleanser that suits your specific needs will lay the foundation for a glowing complexion.
Cleansers I like:
Peptide cleanser for dry- but this takes a bit more to wash off
Gel cleanser- less scrubbing to get off but may take more oil off
Exfoliating cleanser- use a glycolic or scrub bumps
Cream cleanser- or oil- attracts oil. So if you have sunscreen on, it melts it. Maybe a heavier makeup too. This may be good on its own or you may need a second wash
My TIPS:
Korean Skincare often has TWO cleanses. This allows a good cleanse. However this could look like
Start with a cream cleanser then do exfoliating cleanser.
Or do the same cleanser twice.

Another thing- unless you get very dirty or apply something that needs to be removed, consider only washing once a day. The skin microbiome gets affected with washing. So many people, if wearing their sunscreen and touching face all day, should wash face at night. Consider only spritzing face with hydration toner in morning to treat that.

Toners play a pivotal role in skincare. While not always being necessary, they balance the skin's pH, ensuring an optimal environment for healthy skin function. It's a wonderful to replenish hydration and enhance moisture retention. Toners infuse your skin with essential minerals, peptides, and other plant-based ingredients. This not only restores balance but also prepares your skin to absorb and maximize the benefits of subsequent treatments.
My TIPS: By adding a toner, its an ability to treat the skin and lock the ingredients under the more oil based moisturizer, adding more hydration in. If you only wash face at night, spray face in am to spritz prior to adding serums, lotions or sunscreens.
